share house with kids
Hi everyone,
I've just joined this site, mainly to meet new beautiful open minded perents, but also to see if there is a posibility of single perents sharing a house hold in harmony. Im guessing that some of you would that have had expirience, so would love to hear your advice.
It's never as easy as it seems . . .

Positive!!
The day before yesterday I did another test and I got a faint positive!! It's pretty exciting, but at the same time, I feel quite strange about it all.
Annoying Boobs!!
I did another test today - I know! I know! I should have waited. It was negative. It might still be too early. I told Josh I'll wait a week before doing the next one, then I'll know if af is definately late. He keeps telling me to try not to think about it, because then it will happen. But it's so hard to not think about!!
Catch Up
I've been keeping a blog else where, but I'm going to move it here. Here's what I have so far:

I have been converted to baby wearing
Today Lucian and I did our first ever day trip to do the shopping. Originally I had planned to take the other two but chickened out and left them at mum's house.

with thanks
For all those who responded, many thanks, for the articulate, intelligent responses...clearly you are wise woman who 'sit with responses'. I live in Keilor, Melbourne (near the airport). I will check out the natural mother's thingo-ey. I was concerned about mother's groups being a world away from some of my phiosophies ie controlled crying not making much sense to me and yes have heard
Am I the dummy?
I have just become a new Mum at the ripe ol age of 40. Lovely Maya arrived in November naturally. And yes I had a hospital birth because my intuition told me I needed to be there instead of home birth. I am so glad I listened, after 14 hours I delivered Maya without any drugs/gas etc but my cord to the placenta broke and it wouldn't come out. I had to have it removed manually (ie with
I admit it: I'm LOST
The conjunctivitis plague has visited and I've just had a big fight with both my son and my partner over eyedrops for it. William's got it bad in both eyes. He woke up unable to open his eyes at all this morning. As conjunctivitis is so highly contageous William really needs to get these antibiotic drops into his eyes every two hours.
Quick Update
- We've dodged the eviction bullet again thank the gods.
- The kids no longer have green poo.

Notice to Vacate
The real estate agent is sending us a Notice to Vacate. We are more than $800 late with rent. We paid over $500 last week. I thought that would buy us just a little bit more time. Of course Heath's at work and uncontactable right now and so is Sam our landlord so I have to sit here until 6pm with a knot in my stomache wondering WTF to do.
Green Poo
William's poo has turned bright green for no apparent reason! WTF? I don't know whether to be concerned or amused.
William
A weird thing happens. When DH goes out, William (5) and I get along fine. He's really well behaved for me. When DH is home he's a right pain in the arse! He doesn't listen to me. He's kind of driven to do what he wants and what he wants to do is always annoying for me eg. jumping on the bed when the baby, the laptop and I are on there, and he is heavy handed with "hugging" the baby.

Sick Kids
William's been knocked down with a nasty bug. He's been feverish, had aches and pains all over, and thrown up even after eating just one bite of dry toast. I think he was even a little delerious but then it's hard to tell with kids who talk a lot of imaginative nonsense anyway. We tried to give him some Panadol but he won't have it.
William Adjusting
I think the honeymoon period of William adjusting to having less attention is over. He's taken to doing some odd things lately. Over the last few days he's been having periods where he's been spitting a lot. In fact tonight he seems loathed to swallow his own spit at all. He says he's scared a moth will fly into his mouth.
